Ambassador Saha Jundi calls for an urgent meeting of the National Committee for Students Studying Abroad to research the updates of our children in Sudan The Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad closely follows the developments of the situation with the brothers in Sudan in accordance with the developments witnessed by the sister country today, from the reality of its interest in all communities and in particular Egyptian students abroad. The Egyptian students are mostly in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, Ambassador Saha Jundi, and initial estimates indicate that the number of Egyptians in Sudan is within 30,000 and the number of students is within 5 thousands of students, indicating that there is no precise restriction on numbers because most Egyptians do not register their data upon arrival. The Immigration Minister pointed out that she has directed to constantly follow-up the situation round the clock through three axes, first communicating with students and community codes directly according to the database registered by the ministry, and the second axis through continuous communication with our embassy in Khartoum, the Egyptian Consulate in Bawadi Halfa, and through the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and specialized colleagues With the file and on her head the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan. The third axis of follow-up is through the Standing Committee for Follow-up of Students Abroad, headed by the Ministry of Immigration, with the mandate of Mr. President of the Republic and a membership of representatives of the ministries concerned, headed by the ministry of foreign affairs, higher education, and various specialized entities and institutions. Ambassador Saha Jundi pointed out her invitation to the National Committee for Follow-up of Students Affairs Abroad to hold an urgent session to research the new position of students in Sudan, in the same framework as the Committee dealt with the situation of students in Russia and Ukraine, noting that the Committee will search the exact numbers of students teaching in Sudan, their locations and assessing their extent The risk they are currently exposed to according to the updates, to prepare a report on the situation and look into the comprehensive research and evaluation to study the feasibility of developing an urgent evacuation plan according to the situation and updates objectively and quickly. The Minister of Immigration urged the community and students to abide by the instructions issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced by our Embassy in Khartoum, and to follow the pages of the Ministry of Immigration which will publish all updates permanently, wishing the safety of the Egyptian community and brothers in Sudan.
