نظّم المتحف القومي للحضارة المصرية بالفسطاط، فعالية ثقافية بالتعاون مع مكتبة الإسكندرية، بعنوان “سليم حسن رائد علم المصريات”، لإحياء الذكرى 62 على وفاة عالم الآثار المصري الدكتور سليم حسن عميد الآثاريين المصريين، ومؤسس حملة إنقاذ الآثار المصرية بالنوبة.
The NMEC in Fustat organized a cultural event, in cooperation with the Library of Alexandria, entitled “Selim Hassan . Pioneer of Egyptology,” to commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the death of the Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Selim Hassan.
He is considered the father of Egyptian archaeologists and the founder of the Nubian Salvage Campaign to save Egyptian antiquities in Nubia during the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
