ينظم متحف قصر المنيل معرضا مؤقتا للحرف والفنون التراثية واليدوية وذلك احتفالا بالذكري ال 145 لعيد ميلاد الامير محمد علي توفيق.
وأوضح ولاء بدوي مدير عام قصر المنيل، أن المعرض يأتي في اطار تفعيل دور المتحف في المجتمع كمؤسسة أثرية و ثقافية، حيث يعمل المعرض على احياء الفنون التراثية من خلال عرض 25 حرفة يدوية و تراثية من أعمال بعض الفنانيين و المبدعين المصريين من مختلف المحافظات و المناطق التي تضم أشهر الحرف اليدوية والتراثية بمصر، ومنها اعمال النحاس المكفت والنجارة العربية، والزجاج المعشق والصدف العاج والارابييسك العربي، والخزف، و الجلود والحلي النوبي و ملابس فرعونية وخديويه وغيرها .
يفتح المعرض ابوابه لاستقبال الجمهور مجانا اعتبارا من ظهر غدا الثلاثاء الموافق 17 نوفمبر ٢٠٢٠.
جدير بالذكر أن القصر تم إنشاءه عام 1903 حيث أمر ببنائه الأمير محمد على بجزيرة منيل الروضة بالقاهرة حيث يتضمن القصر ثلاث سرايات وهى سراى الإقامة وسراى الاستقبال وسراى العرش، بالإضافة إلى المسجد والمتحف الخاص ومتحف الصيد وبرج الساعة.
ويعد القصر المنيل شاهد على فترة هامة من تاريخ مصر الحديث حيث ينفرد عن باقى متاحف القصور التاريخية بتصميمه المعمارى الرائع، فهو يعد مدرسة فنية جامعة لعناصر الفنون الإسلامية المختلفة وقد بنى على طراز إسلامى مقتبس من المدارس الإسلامية الفاطمية والمملوكية والعثمانية.
“The Heritage of Our Country” An exhibition at Manial Palace
Manial Palace Museum is organizing a temporary exhibition of traditional handicrafts and arts to celebrate the 145th birthday of Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq.
Wala Badawi, Director General of Manial Palace, explained that organization the exhibition is part of the museum’s social responsibility to engage local communities with their heritage.
He added that museums have a role as an archeological as well as a cultural institution. He said that the exhibition aims at reviving heritage arts by displaying 25 handicrafts from the works of some Egyptian artists from different governorates and regions. It includes some of the most famous handicrafts in Egypt.; such as work done by inlaid copper, Arab carpentry, stained glass, ivory shells, arabesques, ceramics, leather, Nubian jewelry, Pharaonic clothes, Khedive, among others.
The exhibition opens its doors to the public free of charge, starting at noon tomorrow, Tuesday, 17 November 2020.
Manial palace was built in 1903, when Prince Muhammad Ali ordered its construction on the island of Manial Al-Rawda in Cairo. The palace includes three halls, which are the residence hall, the reception hall and the throne hall, in addition to the mosque, the private museum, the hunting museum and the clock tower.
The Manial Palace witnessed an important period in Egypt’s modern history, which distinguishes it from other museums and historical palaces due to its unique architectural design. The palace serves as a comprehensive art school for the various elements of Islamic art and was built in an Islamic style inspired by the Fatimid, Mamluk and Ottoman Islamic schools.
