هو مكان تحنيط جسد الفرعون وتجهيز موميائه التي يتم نقلها بعد ذلك في موكب كبير إلى معبد بجوار الهرم مباشرة، اسمه المعبد الجنائزي
شيد معبد الوادي بأحجار ضخمة من الحجر الجيرى و كسيت جدرانة بكتل من الجرانيت الأحمر الوردي المصقول، أرضية المعبد من أحجار المرمر. البهو حاليا مفتوح للسماء لكنة كان مسقوفا بكتل من الجرانيت تركز على ١٦ عمود وكان يوجد ثلاثة وعشرون تمثالا للملك ( خفرع) مازلنا نرى أماكن قواعدها في أرضية المعبد، وكان الضوء ينفذ إلى المعبد من خلال فتحات موجودة في السقف يسطع ضوء كل فتحة منها على تمثال .

This was where the body of the King was mummified, then moved in a large procession to a temple directly next to the pyramid, called the funerary temple
The temple was built with huge limestone stones, and its walls were covered with blocks of polished red-pink granite. The floor of the temple is laid out of alabaster stones and the lobby is open to the sky now but it was roofed with granite blocks that were focused on 16 columns. There were twenty-three statues of the king (Khafre). We still see the places of their bases on the floor of the temple and the light penetrated into the temple through holes in the ceiling shining light on each statue.
