وقد شارك في الجلسة الدكتور طالب الرفاعي الأمين العام السابق لمنظمة السياحة العالمية.
وفي بداية الجلسة أجابت نائبة الوزير عن سؤال حول تأثير الاكتشافات الأثرية الجديدة في مصر في جذب المزيد من الحركة السياحية رغم التحديات الراهنة، حيث أشارت إلى قيام وزارة السياحة والآثار ببث عدد من الفيديوهات عن هذه الاكتشافات الأثرية والمتاحف الجديدة التي تم افتتاحها خلال عام 2020، كما أشارت إلى قيام الوزارة بإطلاق عدد من الجولات الافتراضية لبعض المتاحف والمواقع الأثرية عبر الصفحات الرسمية للوزارة علي شبكة الانترنت ومواقع التواصل الاجتماعي والتي دعت من خلالها السائحين لزيارة مصر عن طريق إبراز كافة المقومات الأثرية الفريدة للمقصد السياحي المصري، والتى من شأنها جذب انتباه السائحين وتشجيعهم على زيارة مصر ، فضلا عن التأكيد على عظمة الحضارة المصرية العريقة.
كما تحدثت نائبة الوزير خلال الجلسة عن الاجراءات الاحترازية وضوابط السلامة الصحية المطبقة بالمنشآت السياحية والفندقية والمتاحف والمواقع الأثرية لضمان السفر الآمن للمقاصد السياحية المصرية، مؤكدة على التعاون الوثيق بين وزارتى السياحة والآثار والصحة والسكان وشركاء العمل من القطاع السياحي الخاص لاحتواء تأثير جائحة كورونا على القطاع السياحي المصري والخطوات المنفذة فى اطار العودة التدريجية الآمنة للسياحة في مصر والتى على رأسها إصدار الوزارة لشهادة السلامة الصحية واشتراط الحصول عليها لتشغيل المنشأت الفندقية والسياحية وذلك لضمان التزام كافة المنشآت بتطبيق الإجراءات الوقائية.
وعن الدروس المستفادة من الأزمات التي واجهتها السياحة، أكدت نائبة الوزير على أن أهم الدروس تتمثل في ضرورة قيام الحكومات بالعمل على تلبية احتياجات صناعة السياحة وأهمية تقديم المساعدة اللازمة لاجتياز هذه الفترة، والعمل على الحفاظ على العمالة المدربة استعدادا لاستئناف السفر وعودة السياحة إلى معدلاتها عند انتهاء الجائحة، بالإضافة إلى أهمية استمرار المقاصد السياحية فى التواصل مع أسواقها الرئيسية المصدرة للسياحة، وألا يقتصر التركيز على الترويج للمقومات المختلفة بالمقصد السياحي فحسب بل التركيز على إجراءات السلامة الصحية المتبعة في المقصد السياحي للحفاظ علي سلامة وصحة السائحين والعاملين بالقطاع.
وقال السيد محمد فرج مدير المكتب المركزي المشرف على ألمانيا وسويسرا والنمسا بالهيئة المصرية العامة للتنشيط السياحي، ان مشاركة الوزارة في هذا الحدث السياحي السنوي الهام تأتي في اطار الجهود التي تقوم بها الوزارة لاستعادة الحركة السياحية الوافدة إلي مصر من مختلف دول العالم، وخاصة من السوق الألماني الذي يعد من الاسواق السياحية الهامة المصدرة للسياحة الى مصر.
وأشار انه سيتم خلال فعاليات البورصة تكثيف اللقاءات المهنية مع منظمي الرحلات وشركات الطيران والاتحادات السياحية المختلفة لمناقشة المستجدات التي طرأت على السوق السياحي وذلك في ظل المؤشرات الإيجابية بحرص معظم دول العالم على تطعيم مواطنيها باللقاحات ضد فيروس كورونا المستجد.
كما أنه من المقرر أن يعقد الدكتور خالد العنانى وزير السياحة والآثار، والمهندس أحمد يوسف الرئيس التنفيذى للهيئة المصرية العامة للتنشيط السياحي عدد من اللقاءات المهنية مع منظمي الرحلات، والتي سيتم خلالها استعراض المقومات السياحية والأثرية التي يتمتع بها المقصد السياحي المصري والتي تمنحه ميزة تنافسية عن غيره من الاسواق السياحية الاخرى، بالاضافة الى اللقاءات الإعلامية بهدف تحسين الصورة الذهنية حول المقصد السياحي المصري في الخارج.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities participated in the ITB Berlin Tourist Exchange, which started today virtually and continues until March 12, Ms. Ghada Shalaby, Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, participated in a dialogue session titled “Destination Management and Thought Leaders Forum” “.
The session was attended by Dr. Talib Al-Rifai, the former Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization.
At the beginning of the session, the Vice Minister answered a question about the impact of new archaeological discoveries in Egypt in attracting more tourism movement despite the current climate, as she indicated that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities broadcast a number of videos about these archaeological discoveries and the new museums that were inaugurated during the year 2020, as well. She indicated that the Ministry had launched a number of virtual tours to some museums and archaeological sites through the official pages of the Ministry on social networking sites, through which it invited tourists to visit Egypt by highlighting all the archaeological elements unique to the Egyptian tourist destination, which would attract the attention of tourists and encourage them to visit Egypt, as well as emphasizing the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
The Deputy Minister also spoke during the session about the precautionary measures and health safety controls applied in tourist and hotel facilities, museums and archaeological sites to ensure safe travel to Egyptian tourist destinations, stressing the close cooperation between the ministries of tourism & antiquities, health & population and business partners from the private tourism sector to contain the impact of the pandemic on the Egyptian tourism sector. The steps implemented on the gradual and safe return of tourism in Egypt, on top of which is the Ministry’s issuance of a health safety certificate and the requirement to obtain it to operate hotel and tourism facilities, in order to ensure that all establishments adhere to the application of preventive measures.
Regarding the lessons learned from the crises faced by tourism, the Vice Minister stressed that the most important lessons are the need for governments to work to meet the needs of the tourism industry and the importance of providing the necessary assistance to pass this time, and work to maintain trained workers in preparation for the resumption of travel and the return of tourism to its rates after the pandemic, in addition to the importance of the tourist destinations continuing to communicate with their main markets exporting to tourism, and the focus is not only on promoting the various components of the tourist destination, but also on the health safety measures followed in the tourist destination to maintain the safety and health of tourists and workers in the sector.
Mr. Mohamed Farag, director of the central office supervising Germany, Switzerland and Austria at the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, said that the ministry’s participation in this important annual tourism event comes the ministry’s efforts to restore the tourist movement coming to Egypt from various countries of the world are effective, especially for the German market. Which is one of the important tourist markets exporting tourism to Egypt.
He pointed out that during the activities of the ITB Stock Exchange, professional meetings with tour operators, airlines and various tourism unions will be intensified to discuss developments that have occurred in the tourism market, in light of the positive indications that most countries of the world are keen to vaccinate their citizens against Corona virus.
In addition, Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Eng. Ahmed Youssef, Executive President of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, will hold a number of professional meetings with tour operators, during which they will review the tourist and archaeological potentials of the Egyptian tourist destination that give it a competitive advantage over others. This will be done compared to other tourist markets, in addition to media meetings with the aim of improving the image of the Egyptian tourist destination abroad.
