على هامش زيارتها الرسمية الحالية لمصر، قامت السيدة جيل بايدن، قرينة الرئيس الأمريكي، بزيارة منطقة أهرامات الجيزة الأثرية، وكان في استقبالها السيد أحمد عيسى وزير السياحة والآثار، والدكتور مصطفى وزيري الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للآثار، الذي قدم شرحًا لها أثناء زيارتها لهرم خوفو من الخارج، ومنطقة البانوراما، وأبو الهول.

كما حرصت بايدن على إلتقاط الصور التذكارية لها في المنطقة الأثرية، وأعربت عن سعادتها بهذه الزيارة، وإعجابها بأهرامات الجيزة وأبو الهول. وفي نهاية الزيارة قدم الوزير لقرينة الرئيس الأمريكي هدية تذكارية عبارة عن مستنسخ لقلادة فرعونية.

On the sidelines of her current official visit to Egypt, US First Lady Jill Biden, visited the Giza Pyramids, and was received by Mr. Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Dr. Mostafa Waziry, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities. She visited the Great pyramid of Khufu from outside, and the panorama area, as well as the Sphinx.

Dr. Waziry gave her a tour of the plateau as well as its most important features.

Biden was also photographed at the plateau, as she enjoyed every moment during her tour and expressed her admiration for the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.

As a souvenir, she was also gifted a replica of an ancient collar by the Minister.
