– البنك المركزي يواصل جهوده لدعم القطاع السياحي في مواجهة تداعيات جائحة كورونا
في ضوء توجيهات السيد الرئيس/ عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس الجمهورية بالحفاظ على معدلات النمو الاقتصادي الإيجابية، ومساندة القطاعات الاقتصادية وبالأخص قطاع السياحة عملاً على تحقيق نسب النمو المستهدفة خاصة في ظل الظروف الراهنة وتداعيات جائحة كورونا، عقد أمس الدكتور خالد العناني وزير السياحة والآثار اجتماعا مع السيد/ جمال نجم نائب محافظ البنك المركزي وكل من رئيس الاتحاد المصري للغرف السياحية ورؤساء وقيادات مجموعة من البنوك، لمناقشة أداء المبادرات الصادرة عن البنك المركزي للقطاع السياحي التي تم بموجبها تخصيص مبلغ 50 مليار جنيه لتمويل إحلال وتجديد الفنادق والمنشآت السياحية وأساطيل النقل السياحي بسعر عائد متناقص 8%، وتخصيص شريحة منها بمبلغ 3 مليار جنيه بضمان وزارة المالية لتمويل الرواتب والأجور ومصروفات الصيانة.
وقد جاء الهدف الرئيسي وراء الاجتماع هو تذليل المعوقات التي تواجه الشركات والمنشات السياحية والفندقية في التعامل مع البنوك للاستفادة من المبادرة.
وقد شهد الاجتماع مناقشة عدد من القضايا التي يواجهها قطاع السياحة في ظل تأثر معدلات السياحة في شتى أنحاء العالم، وفي ضوء توقع أن تشهد الحركة السياحية في مصر انتعاشاً خلال العام الحالي، مما يستدعي توفير كافة السبل للفنادق وشركات السياحة لاستكمال أعمال الإحلال والتجديد استعداداً لاستقبال الأفواج السياحية.
هذا وتناول الاجتماع التركيز على دور البنوك في تسهيل حصول الشركات والفنادق على التمويل والدعم اللازم خلال الفترة القادمة مع حث البنوك على تقديم المزيد من التسهيلات للقطاع السياحي من خلال تفعيل دور شركة ضمان مخاطر الائتمان، التي قام البنك المركزي بإصدار تعهد لصالحها بمبلغ 2 مليار جنيه لتغطية 60% من مخاطر التسهيلات الممنوحة للقطاع السياحي ضمن مبادرة إحلال وتجديد الفنادق والمنشآت السياحية وأساطيل النقل السياحي، كما تم إصدار تعهد آخر للشركة بمبلغ 3 مليار جنيه لضمان الشريحة المخصصة من المبادرة -بضمان وزارة المالية- لتمويل الرواتب والأجور ومصروفات الصيانة والتشغيل الأساسية.
وقد تم التأكيد خلال الاجتماع على أن التسهيلات الممنوحة تتم بناءً على دراسة البنوك للتوقعات المستقبلية والأداء المتوقع للشركات السياحية والفنادق.

The Central Bank continues its efforts to support the tourism sector
In light of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to maintain positive economic growth rates, and to support the economic sectors, especially tourism , in order to achieve the target growth rates, especially in the current circumstances and the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, held a meeting yesterday with Mr. Jamal Najm, Vice Governor of the Central Bank and President of the Egyptian Tourism Federation and heads of a number of banks. The meeting discussed the initiatives launched by the Central Bank to support the tourism sector. As per this initiative an amount of 50 billion was allocated to finance the replacement and renovation of hotels, tourist facilities and fleets of tourism transport at a decreasing interest rate of 8%; and a 3 billion was allocated by the Ministry of Finance to finance salaries, wages and maintenance expenses.
The main objective of the meeting was to overcome the obstacles faced by Tourism and travel agencies, tourist and hotel facilities in dealing with banks in order to benefit from the initiative.
The meeting discussed a number of issues facing the tourism sector in light of the impact of decreasing tourism rates around the world, and in light of the expectations that inbound tourism to Egypt will witness a recovery this year. This calls for aiding hotels and tourism agencies to complete the work of replacement and renovation in preparation for receiving tourists.
The meeting focused on the role of banks in facilitating the access of tourism and travel agencies and hotels to the necessary financing and support in the coming period, urging banks to provide more facilities to the tourism sector by activating the role of credit risk guarantee company, which the Central Bank issued a pledge in its favor of EGP 2 billion to cover 60% of the risks of facilities granted to the tourism sector as part of the initiative to replace and renovate hotels, tourist facilities and tourism fleets, and another pledge was issued to the company for 3 billion to ensure the allocated segment of Initiative – guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance – to finance salaries, wages, maintenance and basic operating expenses.
It was confirmed during the meeting that the facilities granted are based on the banks’ study of the future expectations and the expected performance of tourism agencies and hotels.
