Today our Museums are celebrating National Police Day today, January 25, by showcasing special artifacts.
The National Police Museum designated a hall under the name “The Ismailia Battle Hall” to display some of the weapons that were used in the Ismailia battle on January 25, 1952 between both the Egyptian police and the British occupation forces. It also displays a diorama embodying the scene of the events that occurred, in addition to a group of rare pictures that adorn the walls of the hall.
We celebrate the National Police Day to commemorate the battle of Ismailia in appreciation of the sacrifices the Egyptian police does in defending their homeland.
The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir is showcasing “The Head of King Senusret III” as the artifact of the month. King Senusret III is one of the most important kings who ordered the establishment of forts to secure the Egyptian borders.
