Climate finance is a critical topic for adaptation and mitigation efforts against the impacts of climate change. Climate finance is critical for our ability to fund renewable energy infrastructure, invest in emerging carbon-reducing technologies, support preservation of ecosystems, assist vulnerable communities, and support the growth of green economies.
Negotiations around Climate finance at COP27 will include securing financial support from developed to developing countries and encouraging policies to strengthen sustainable financial models.
In the Green Zone, we will be hearing from financial and academic institutions, women, youth, indigenous groups, and government and private sector entities about climate finance today and in the future.

يعد تمويل العمل المناخي موضوعًا بالغ الأهمية للحد من آثار تغير المناخ. وتكمن أهمية ملف “تمويل المناخ” في تحسين قدرتنا على تنفيذ بنيتنا التحتية للطاقة المتجددة، والاستثمار في التقنيات الناشئة التي من شأنها تقليل انبعاثات الكربون، ودعم نمو الاقتصاد الأخضر، ويتم التفاوض خلال المؤتمر على تأمين الدعم المالي من الدول المتقدمة للدول النامية لتحقيق ذلك، وتشجيع السياسات التي تعزز النماذج المالية المستدامة.
وخلال تواجدنا في المنطقة الخضراء، سنستمع إلى ممثلي المؤسسات المالية والأكاديمية، ومختلف الأطراف الفاعلة كالنساء والشباب والسكان الأصليين والقطاع الخاص، للوقوف على أجندة تمويل العمل المناخي اليوم وفي المستقبل.
