The Minister of Awqaf (Endowments) Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa received the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat today at the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs headquarters in Garden City.
The meeting was attended by Permanent Undersecretary at the Ministry of Awqaf Amr Shoukry, Deputy ICT Minister for Administrative Development, Digital Transformation, and Automation Khaled El Attar, Assistant Minister of Awqaf for Administrative Affairs Abdullah Hassan, Head of the Central Department of Specialized Projects at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Mahmoud Fakhr, Head of the Central Department for Digital Transformation at the Ministry of Awqaf Randa Salah, Head of the Central Department for Charity and Endowment Affairs Ahmed Abdel Raouf, Head of Digital Heritage Hesham El-Deeb, Chairman of the Egyptian Endowments Authority Alaa Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of Awqaf for Endowments Authority Affairs Mohamed Salem, Vice President of the State Council and Legal Adviser to the Egyptian Endowments Authority Osama Wardani, and officials from MCIT.
During the meeting, the Minister of Awqaf welcomed the ICT Minister and his accompanying delegation. Gomaa thanked Talaat and valued the cooperation between the two ministries. He stated that today’s collaboration is not the first of its kind and that the two ministries continue to cooperate in digital transformation. For the Ministry of Awqaf, MCIT is the source of digital transformation consultancy, Gomaa noted. He revealed that the two sides formed a joint committee on digitizing all operations of the Ministry of Awqaf.
In his remarks, the ICT Minister thanked the Minister of Awqaf and said he was pleased to see what the Ministry of Awqaf is accomplishing in digital transformation. He said the two ministries continue to have joint projects, including the inventory of state assets and property. He explained that the successful execution of the project would produce excellent returns to the country and increase the Ministry of Awqaf’s ability to manage its property and achieve the highest return.
Talaat highlighted that the cooperation has remarkably boosted the digital transformation of the Ministry of Awqaf. Today, the two ministries are developing a joint action plan to complete the digital transformation at the Ministry of Awqaf, he added.
