The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has opened SEITech Solutions new office.

SEITech Solutions is a leading technology firm focused on embedded hardware and software development for the automotive industry and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) solutions for industrial applications.

By the end of 2023, SEITech Solutions aims to increase digital exports by about euros 15 million as well as the number of its employees from 150 to 300 engineers. Within the next three to four years, it aims to reach 1,000 specialized engineers and boost investment to EGP 1.8 billion, by expanding and diversifying the list of its customers locally and internationally, focusing mainly on the efforts of developing its business in the Middle East and the countries of the Arab Gulf.

The opening of the new office comes within the framework of the agreement signed by SEITech Solutions and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), as part of the agreements signed recently with 29 multinationals, in the presence of the Prime Minister in November 2022.

The ICT Minister had held talks with officials of SEITech Solution in Germany, the parent company, during his visit to Germany last May to discuss enhancing the company’s investments in Egypt.

During the opening ceremony, Talaat stated that opening the new office comes as part of the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), aiming to establish Egypt as an ICT hub, especially in outsourcing. He declared that modern automotive-embedded software is one of the significant areas in which MCIT is keen to attract multinationals and encourage Egyptian companies to do business in this field.

The ICT Minister pointed out that SEITech Solutions and Hella, a listed internationally positioned automotive supplier in Germany, are joining forces. He added that the two companies are looking forward to increasing their exports and creating job opportunities in this significant field.

The ICT Minister underscored that MCIT strategy for capacity building aims to expand training programs to include new specializations in embedded software and electronics design. These programs are implemented in cooperation with universities and academic institutions to provide trained Egyptian calibers in the required specializations, especially in new technological fields, to attract multinationals to establish their outsourcing centers in Egypt and help companies attain their goals.

The CEO of SEITech Solutions Saffeyeldin Khalil said that he was pleased with the company’s expansions and the opening of SEITech Solutions new office in Egypt, in the presence of the ICT Minister. He referred to the significant and influential role of the company in developing and providing smart solutions supporting 4IR and developing embedded hardware and software for the automotive industry. This is in addition to its role in supporting the state’s efforts to attain digital transformation of all government and industrial services and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Khalil emphasized that the company’s strategy, since launching its operations in Egypt, has been based on supporting and encouraging Egyptian youth to take their first professional steps by creating decent job opportunities. The company has also established various partnerships with the German University in Cairo (GUC) and Egypt-Japan University for Science and Technology (E-JUST) to train and qualify students for the labor market. This is in addition to promoting cooperation with the Information Technology Institute (ITI), the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), the Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI), and Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) to support the capabilities of their graduates and enhance their competitiveness in the software development job market.

The main customers and partners of SEITech Solutions are local and global industrial companies and automotive manufacturers, due to the availability of highly qualified engineering talents, based on the company’s plans to render first-class services to its customers. The company also succeeded in providing smart and unprecedented solutions in the Egyptian market for the industrial and automotive sectors.

SEITech Solutions has teamed up with Hella, one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-performance radar sensors and electronics, to establish a development center in Egypt that employs the best Egyptian specialized calibers. Hella is the automotive supplier under the umbrella brand FORVIA. HELLA stands for high-performance lighting technology and automotive electronics.

The company launched the first training program with Vector Certified Embedded Associate (CEA), an accredited certificate, based on its keenness to upskill Egyptian undergraduates and provide training courses with certificates accredited by major tech providers in Europe. Vector is a leading manufacturer of embedded software in the automotive industry for control units and microprocessors.

The opening ceremony was attended by Assistant ICT Minister for Strategy and Implementation Sherine El-Guindy, ITI Chairwoman Heba Saleh, NTI Director Ahmed Khattab, ITIDA Vice President Hossam Osman, ITIDA Vice President for Electronic Transactions Security Hazem Nabil, various MCIT officials, numerous major German investors and several specialists in the production and provision of technological solutions and smart applications services in the Egyptian market.

Established in 2019, SEITech Solutions employes over 150 engineers across three locations in Germany and Egypt. The headquarters of the company is located in Stuttgart, South Germany, and its other office is located at the Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.

In September 2022, SEITech Solutions became part of Technology and Strategy Group (T&S), a leading European company in engineering and digital consulting, with over 3,000 employees worldwide, and seven different companies and brands.
