Egypt continues to earn global recognition from prominent consultancy firms and leading organizations. It has achieved the notable feat of securing the third position, up from 11th in one year, on the Offshore BPO Confidence Index 2023, as assessed by Ryan Strategic Advisory.
The Offshore BPO Confidence Index 2023 report sheds light on the operational realities across some of the world’s most pivotal outsourcing locations. It distills insights and experiences from the front lines of third-party CX delivery, offering a clear-eyed assessment of 17 key outsourcing jurisdictions from those on the ground: BPO operational leaders and country managers.
In the Index, countries are evaluated in seven categories: Local Labor Market, Infrastructure, Commercial Property, BPO Ecosystem, Political Stability, Public Security, and Economic Stability. Egypt scores high in all seven categories of the Index, achieving an overall Confidence Rating of 83.8%.
Experts in the report praise Egypt’s multilingual talents and investment-friendly economic environment. Positioned at the intersection of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Egypt offers an unmatched geographical edge. This, coupled with its cutting-edge tech infrastructure and the government’s robust support for the BPO industry, reinforces global firms’ confidence in Egypt’s potential, the report reads.
The report highlights that Egypt’s commitment to technology and digital transformation is reshaping its BPO scene. Infrastructure upgrades, notably marine cable projects, and an overall uptick in technological adoption put Egypt in a strong position.
The report refers to government training programs to enhance language and soft skills for public education graduates to serve offshore clients. It also applauds Egypt’s digital infrastructure. Thanks to its robust and resilient infrastructure, Egypt is recognized by BPO leaders as a welcoming and favorable environment for business visitors, the report highlights.
In the report, reference was made to the efforts of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in lobbying for favorable regulations, as well as the government’s plans to ramp up its promotion of Egypt as a favorable offshoring destination.
