Mangroves play a critical role in carbon capture and stabilizing the ecosystems in which they grow. This COP27ClimateFinance Day side event discusses the importance of mangrove preservation and restoration. Rotary International highlights the successes of the organization’s preservation efforts in the Indian Ocean, and the expansion of this important project into Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania, and other countries.
