Ensuring that the voices of children, adolescents and youth are meaningfully heard loud and clear is one of the key objectives of the COP27 Presidency. Through tnumerous consultations held with youth climate advocates and representatives, COP27 Presidency decided to hold a stand-alone day dedicated to the engagement and empowerment of young people to ensure that youth perspectives are considered and integrated across all areas of the climate agenda.
This morning’s opening ceremony saw YOUNGO share the demands of the GlobalYouthStatement which includes over 149 participating nations and 15 key overarching themes.
Meanwhile this COP27 thematic day will provide an opportunity to showcase success stories of youth-led action featuring an intergenerational platform for direct interaction between policymakers and young practitioners as well as a series of dialogues with high-level champions and nonparty stakeholders.

يعد ضمان سماع أصوات الأطفال والشباب أحد الأهداف الرئيسية لقمة تغير المناخ COP27. ونتيجة للمشاورات والجلسات التي عقدت مع ممثلي الشباب خلال الأيام السابقة، قررت رئاسة القمة تخصيص يوم مستقل لتمكين الشباب وضمان الاستماع إلى وجهات نظرهم ودمجها في الأجندة.
سيكون هذا اليوم فرصة لعرض قصص نجاح شبابية، كما سيوفر منصة للتفاعل بين الأجيال المختلفة، وعقد لقاءات وحوارات بين صانعي القرار وممثلو الشباب
