EOI is a national competition that encourages young talents in IT, introduces problem-solving methodologies, identifies exceptional IT talent, strengthens friendships, creates a skill pool in coding and IT, and shapes a generation capable of systematic thinking, innovation, and development.
EOI was first held in 2003 through a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Education, MCIT, and AASTMT to qualify and upskill young Egyptians in software and IT areas.
