يأتي ذلك في إطار حرص وزارة السياحة والآثار على تقديم الدعم اللازم للقطاع السياحي وللعاملين به ولا سيما في ظل تخفيف الآثار الاقتصادية الناتجة عن أزمة جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد.
وتقديرا للدور العظيم الذي تقدمه الأطقم الطبية للمجتمع وخاصة خلال أزمة جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد، فقد وافق مجلس الإدارة أيضا علي منح الأطقم الطبية وأسرهم بحد أقصى 3 أفراد مرافقين زيارة مجانية لجميع المتاحف والمواقع الأثرية المفتوحة للزيارة، وذلك خلال عام 2021 مع الالتزام بتطبيق كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية وضوابط السلامة الصحية المتبعة بها.
The Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, during its last session chaired by Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, approved a complete exemption for renters of bazaars and cafeterias in museums and archaeological sites of the Supreme Council of Antiquities from paying rent for the months of March and April 2021, so that this exemption would be continued for nearly a year, Whereas, the Board of Directors had previously decided to exempt them from paying rent for the months of June, July and August 2020, then this exemption was extended until the end of September 2020, then until the end of October 2020, and finally until the end of February 2021.
This comes in line with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’s support to provide the necessary aide to the tourism sector and its workers, especially in light of the mitigation of the economic impacts resulting from the emerging corona virus.
In recognition of the great role provided by the medical teams to society, especially during the pandemic, the Board of Directors also approved granting medical teams and their families a maximum of 3 accompanying individuals a free visit to all museums and archaeological sites open for visitation, during the year 2021 with a commitment to apply all precautionary measures and health safety controls in place.
