شاركت مساء أمس الأستاذة غادة شلبي نائب وزير السياحة والآثار لشئون السياحة، عبر تطبيق زووم، في القمة السنوية لرابطة السفر في منطقة المحيط الهادئ لآسيا “Pacific Asia Travel Association” (PATA) والتي تستمر خلال الفترة من 27 وحتى 29 أبريل الجاري، والتى حضرها أكثر من 3000 وفد من أكثر من 80 وجهة سياحية على مستوي العالم.
وتناولت القمة في أول أيامها الوضع الراهن لصناعة السفر والسياحة في العالم وما تواجهه من صعوبات في ظل أزمة جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد، بالإضافة إلى تسليط الضوء على ما تتمتع به الوجهات السياحية حول العالم الآن بفرصة لإعادة تصور مستقبل السياحة، مما قد يستوجب عليه تغيير طبيعة الأداء السياحي من خلال التخطيط الاستراتيجي الدقيق وتحقيق ميزة السياحة التنافسية ودفع التنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة، وكذالك أهمية الشراكة بين القطاع السياحي الحكومي والخاص من أجل تحقيق التطوير المسئول للسفر والسياحة.
كما تم مناقشة كيفية استغلال فترات الغلق التي عاشها العالم خلال العام الماضي وتأثيرات جائحة فيروس كورونا على صناعة السفر والسياحة بشكل عام، حيث أوضحت نائب الوزير أن تلك الفترات قد تم استغلالها في مصر وتخصيصها للارتقاء بمستوى جودة الخدمات السياحية المقدمة في كافة المواقع السياحية والأثرية، وبناء قدرات جميع العاملين في صناعة السياحة، وتطوير البنية التحتية بكافة المنشآت السياحية والفندقية، بالإضافة إلى العمل على تنويع المنتجات السياحية في مصر.
وأشارت إلى أن أهم الدروس المستفادة من جائحة كورونا هو أن تلبية احتياجات الصناعة هي قضية رئيسية، وأهمية التواصل حيث أن كل وجهة تحتاج إلى التواصل المستمر مع أسواقها المصدرة للسياحة، بالإضافة إلى الحاجة إلى فهم قدراتنا والاستثمار فيها.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن رابطة السفر في منطقة المحيط الهادئ لآسيا (PATA) أُنشئت في عام 1951 لتعمل كمحفز للتنمية المسئولة لصناعة السفر والسياحة بمنطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ، كما أنها مدافعًا قويًا عن فكرة أن صناعة السفر والسياحة ليست فقط قوة إيجابية للنمو الاقتصادي وخلق فرص العمل، ولكن باعتبارها محرك مهم للتعاطف الثقافي والتفاهم عبر الحدود.
Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs participates in the annual Summit of the Pacific Travel Association for Asia (PATA)
Mrs. Ghada Shalaby, Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, participated yesterday evening in the annual Summit of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), which runs from April 27 to 29, which was attended by more than 3,000 delegations from more than 80 tourist destinations worldwide.
The summit addressed the current situation of the world’s travel and tourism industry and the difficulties it faces in the light of the emerging pandemic crisis, as well as highlighting the opportunity for tourist destinations around the world now to reimagine the future of tourism, which may require it to change the nature of tourism performance through careful strategic planning, competitive tourism and the promotion of sustainable economic development, as well as the importance of partnership between the government and private tourism sector in order to achieve responsible development of travel and tourism.
The Vice minister also discussed how to exploit the closure periods experienced by the world over the past year and the effects of the COV pandemic on the travel and tourism industry in general, where the Vice Minister explained that these periods have been exploited in Egypt and allocated to improve the quality of tourism services provided in all tourist and archaeological sites, build the capacity of all workers in the tourism industry, develop the infrastructure of all tourist and hotel facilities, in addition to working to diversify tourism products in Egypt.
She pointed out that the most important lessons learned from the Corona pandemic is that meeting the needs of the industry is a key issue, the importance of communication as each destination needs to communicate continuously with its tourism exporting markets, as well as the need to understand and invest in our capabilities.
