كشفت الأشعة المقطعية والطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد أسرار مومياء الصبي الذهبي المُخزنة ببدروم المتحف المصري بالتحرير لأكثر من قرن، وقد تم نشر نتائج هذه الدراسة بمجلة Frontiers in Medicine يوم 24 يناير 2023.

وقد أوضحت الأشعة أن المومياء ترتدي قناعًا ذهبيًا وصدرية مصنوعة من الكارتوناج، وصندل من النسيج، كما عُثر بداخلها على حوالي 49 تميمة، صُنعت من الذهب والقاشاني وبعض أنواع الأحجار.

CT scanning and 3D printing revealed the secrets of the mummy of the golden boy stored in the basement of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir for more than a century. The results of this study were published in Frontiers in Medicine on January 24th, 2023.

The study showed that the mummy is wearing a golden mask, a chest piece made of cartonnage, and sandals made of fabric. Around 49 amulets were found inside the wrappings, made of gold, faience, and various types of stone.
