تُمثل هذه العلامة القصبة الهوائية مع القلب، ومعناها الجمال، والسعادة.

وُردت في عدة كلمات، أشهرها اسم الملكة “نفرتيتي” ويعني اسمها الجميلة آتية، والملكة “نفرتاري” ويعني اسمها جميلة الجميلات.

كما أن كلمة “نفر” تعنى “فرد”، وهو لفظ يستخدم حتى يومنا هذا بنفس المعنى.

Although it has become part of various ancient Egyptian words, it was commonly added to female personal names, such as Nefertiti, the famed wife of king Akhtenaten, and Nefetari, wife of king Ramses II.

The word “nefer” also means “individual” in the ancient Egyptian writing, a term that is still used to nowadays with the same meaning.
