تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس أبو مازن، حيث بحث الرئيسان حالة التصعيد الأمني والعسكري على الصعيد الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي، وأشارا إلى خطورة غياب الأفق السياسي وتفاقم الأوضاع الراهنة على النحو الذي يهدد حياة المدنيين وأمن واستقرار المنطقة. كما أعرب الرئيسان عن القلق البالغ من استمرار التصعيد الحالي، وما يصاحب ذلك من تدهور شديد للأوضاع الأمنية والإنسانية، مؤكدين أن تحقيق الاستقرار المستدام بالمنطقة يتطلب التوصل إلى حل عادل وشامل للقضية الفلسطينية على أساس حل الدولتين وفقاً لمرجعيات الشرعية الدولية.

The two presidents discussed the security and military escalation on the Palestinian-Israeli level and highlighted the danger of the absence of a political prospect and the exacerbation of the current conditions, which threaten the lives of civilians as well as the region’s security and stability. The two presidents expressed deep concern over the continuation of the current escalation and the ensuing severe deterioration of the security and humanitarian conditions. They confirmed that achieving sustainable stability in the region requires reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution in accordance with the reference of international legitimacy.
