استقبل الدكتور خالد العناني وزير السياحة والآثار، في مكتبه بمقر الوزارة بالعباسية، الأستاذ ماجد فوزي رئيس مجلس إدارة غرفة المنشآت الفندقية السابق والأستاذ علاء عاقل رئيس لجنة تسيير أعمال الغرفة الحالي، وذلك بعد صدور قرار تشكيل لجنة لتسيير أعمال الغرفة برئاسة الأستاذ علاء عاقل وعضوية كل من هشام الشاعر، محمد أيوب، هيثم نصار، عبد الحميد أبو يوسف.
جاء هذا القرار بعد أن قضت محكمة القضاء الإداري بحل مجلس إدارة الغرفة السابق لبطلان انتخابات الغرفة التي عُقدت بتاريخ 31 أكتوبر 2018.
وقد حضر اللقاء الأستاذ أحمد الوصيف رئيس الاتحاد المصري للغرف السياحية، والأستاذ عبد الفتاح العاصي مساعد الوزير للرقابة على المنشآت الفندقية والمحال والأنشطة السياحية، والأستاذة يمنى البحار مساعد الوزير للشئون الفنية.
واستهل الدكتور خالد العناني اللقاء بتقديم الشكر للأستاذ ماجد فوزي ولمجلس إدارة غرفة المنشآت الفندقية السابق برئاسته على كل ما بذلوه من جهد خلال الفترة السابقة للنهوض بقطاع الفنادق ولا سيما لعملهم في فترة صعبة استطاعوا خلالها أن يؤدوا عملهم باقتدار، مثمنًا على الدور الفعال الذي لعبته الغرفة في استقبال العالقين المصريين في مدينة مرسي علم أثناء فترة تعليق الطيران مع بداية جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد.
كما تمنى الوزير التوفيق والنجاح للجنة تسيير الأعمال الجديدة في تنفيذ مهامها ومسئولياتها على أكمل وجه خلال الفترة المقبلة.
ومن جانبه، أكد الأستاذ علاء عاقل على أنه سيتم بذل قصارى الجهد لاستمرار العمل بالكفاءة المعهودة من الغرفة ليكون عمل اللجنة عند حسن الظن وبما يساهم في خدمة القطاع الفندقي.
وخلال الاجتماع، تم مناقشة المحاور الرئيسية لخطة عمل الغرفة خلال الفترة المقبلة، كما دارت مناقشات حول تحديد الحد الأدنى لمقابل الإقامة بالمنشآت الفندقية.
جدير بالذكر أن الأستاذ علاء عاقل كان رئيساً للغرفة الفرعية للمنشآت الفندقية بالبحر الأحمر، وعضو مجلس إدارة المنشآت الفندقية السابق، كما أنه يتمتع بخبرة طويلة لأكثر من 30 عاماً في مجال الفندقة.
Dr El-Enany commends the efforts of the former Board of Directors of Egyptian Hotel Association and wishes success for the new steering committee
Dr. Khaled El-Enany , Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received, Mr. Maged Fawzi, former Chairman of the Egyptian Hotel Association Board of Directors, and Mr. Alaa Akil, Chairman of the steering Committee, after the issuance of a decree to form a steering committee to run the Egyptian Hotel Association, headed by Mr Akil and the membership of
Hisham Al-Shaer, Muhammad Ayoub, Haitham Nassar, Abdul-Hamid Abu Yusef.
This decision came after the Administrative Court ruled to dissolve the Chamber’s previous board of directors to invalidate the Chamber’s elections that were held on October 31, 2018.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Al-Wasif, President of the Egyptian Tourism Federation, Mr. Abdel-Fattah Al-Assi, Assistant Minister for Supervision of Hotel Establishments, Shops and Tourism Activities, and Ms. Yomna Al-Bahhar, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs.
Dr. Khaled El-Enany started the meeting by thanking Mr Maged Fawzi and the former Board of Directors for all their efforts during the previous period. He said that he appreciated all the work they have done during a difficult period, and the effective role they played in receiving Egyptians who were stranded abroad in Marsa Allam in the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, when air travel was suspended.
The Minister wished success to the steering committee in carrying out its tasks and responsibilities in the coming period.
For his part, Mr. Alaa Akil emphasized that they will continue work with the same efficiency in a way that contributes to the serving the hotel sector.
The meeting discussed the work plan of Egyptian Hotel Association during the coming period. They also discussed setting a minimum for hotel accommodation prices in Egypt.
Mr. Alaa Akil was the Chairman of the Egyptian Hotel Association branch in the Red Sea and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Hotel Association. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of hospitality.
