كشفت البعثة الأثرية المصرية العاملة بمنطقة آثار الغريفة بتونا الجبل بمحافظة المنيا عن مقبرة المشرف على الخزانة الملكية “بادى است” بداخلها تماثيل حجرية ولقي أثرية في حالة جيدة من الحفظ.
وأوضح الدكتور مصطفي وزيري الأمين العام للمجلس الاعلي للآثار ورئيس البعثة أن المقبرة تتكون من بئر للدفن بعمق ١٠ أمتار، يؤدى الى حجرة كبيرة بها نيشات محفورة فى الصخر مغلقة بألواح حجرية منتظمة الشكل، عثر بداخلها على تمثالين من الحجر الجيرى، أحدهما على هيئة العجل أبيس والآخر لسيدة، بالإضافة إلى أواني كانوبية من أجمل الأواني التى تم العثور عليها، مصنوعة من الألبستر على هيئة أبناء حورس الأربعة نقش عليها ألقاب و أسماء المتوفى.
وأشار د. مصطفي وزيري إلى أنه تم العثور أيضا علي ٤٠٠ تمثال أوشابتي من الفيانس الأزرق والأخضر تحمل اسم المتوفى، وستة دفنات لأفراد عائلتة بها ما يقرب من ١٠٠٠ تمثال أوشابتى من الفيانس أيضا ومجموعات من الأواني الكانوبية مصنوعة من الالبستر والحجر الجيرى وبعض من التمائم والجعارين ومجموعة من الأواني الفخارية من العصر الصاوى ما بين الأسرة ٢٦ حتى الأسرة ٣٠.
كما تم العثور أيضا على أربعة توابيت حجرية على هيئة آدمية ما زالت مغلقة بالملاط ولا يزال العمل مستمرا للكشف عن المزيد من أسرار وكنوز منطقة الغريفة.
جدير بالذكر أن حفائر البعثة الأثرية المصرية، كشفت الأسبوع الماضي، في موسمها الرابع بمنطقة الغريفة الأثرية بتونا الجبل بمحافظة المنيا عن بئر للدفن بعمق ٥ أمتار بداخله تابوت مصنوع من الحجر الجيري لكبير كهنة الاله جحوتي ، ويدعي جحوتي إم حتب من الأسرة ال 26، وكان يشغل أيضا منصب عظيم الخمس والمشرف على العروش وأنه ابن حرسا إيست الذي كشفت البعثة عن التابوت الخاص به في موسم حفائرها الأول عام 2018.
وقد زين التابوت بمناظر تمثل أولاد حورس الأربعة في حالة جيدة من الحفظ بجانبه مجموعة من تماثيل الأوشابتي المصنوعة من الفاينس.
كما نجحت البعثة الأثرية خلال مواسمها الثلاثة السابقة فى الكشف عن العديد من المقابر العائلية التى تخص كبار كهنة الإله جحوتى وكبار الموظفين بالإقليم الخامس عشر من اقاليم مصر العليا وعاصمته الأشمونين، و ١٩ مقبرة تضم ٧٠ تابوتا حجريًا مختلفة الأحجام والأشكال وأثاث جنائزي.
The tomb of the supervisor of the royal treasury, “Pa Di Eset”, was discovered, with stone statues in the Al-Ghorefa antiquities area of Tuna Al-Gabal in Minya
The Egyptian archaeological mission working in the antiquities area of Al-Al-Ghorefa in Tuna Al-Gabal in Minya Governorate uncovered the tomb of the supervisor of the royal treasury, “Pa Di Eset”, with stone statues inside, and the archaeological finds are in a good state of preservation.
Dr. Mustafa Waziry, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Head of the Mission, explained that the tomb consists of a burial shaft 10 meters deep, leading to a large room with niches carved into the rock closed with regular-shaped stone slabs. Two statues were found, one of a woman and the other of the bull Apis, in addition to canopic jars, (some of the most beautiful jars that have been found), made of albuster in the form of the four sons of Horus, engraved with the titles and names of the deceased.
Dr. Mustafa Waziry indicated that 400 Ushabti statuettes of blue and green faience bearing the name of the deceased were also found. In addition to six burials of his family members containing nearly 1,000 Ushabti statuettes of faience as well, and groups of canopic jars made of polyester, limestone, some amulets, scarabs, and a set of pottery vessels. From the Sawy era, Dynasty 26 to Dynasty 30.
Also, 4 stone sarcophagi were found in an intact form, which are still sealed with mortar and there is still more to uncover and treasures to reveal in El-Ghorefa.
It is noteworthy that the excavations of the Egyptian archaeological mission, last week, in its fourth season, in the archaeological area of Al-Ghorefa in Tuna Al-Gabal, in Minya Governorate, revealed a burial shaft 5 meters deep inside which was a coffin made of limestone of the chief priest of the god Djehuty, called Djehuty Im Hoteb of the 26th dynasty, he was the Great of Five and the Supervisor of the Throne, and that he is the son of Hr. Sa Eset, whose coffin was unveiled by the mission in its first excavation season in 2018.
The coffin is decorated with scenes representing the four children of Horus, in good condition, next to it, a group of Shabty statues consisting of felines.
During its previous three seasons, the archaeological mission has succeeded in uncovering many family tombs belonging to the high priests of the god Djehuty and senior officials in the 15th region of Upper Egypt and its capital, Ashmonin, and 19 tombs containing 70 stone sarcophagi of various sizes and shapes and funerary objects.
