افتتاح المرحلة الأولى من مشروع تطوير المتحف المصري بالتحرير، تأكيدًا على استمرار دوره ورسالته كصرح ثقافي وتعليمي وحضاري عريق.

جاء ذلك بالتعاون بين الوزارة والاتحاد الأوروبي بمشاركة لجنة علمية تضم علماء المصريات بالجامعات المصرية، وخمسة متاحف أوروبية كبرى وهي متاحف اللوفر والبريطاني والمصري بتورين وبرلين، ولايدن.

The first phase of the Transforming the Egyptian Museum in Cairo Project has been inaugurated. It highlights the museum’s role & mission as a cultural and educational institution.

This is the result of a joint project between the ministry and the EU, with the participation of a scientific committee comprising of Egyptologists from Egyptian universities & five major European museums, namely the Louvre, the British Museum, the Museo Egicio Turin, the Berlin and Leiden museums.
