واستهل الدكتور خالد العناني الاجتماع بالتأكيد على أن الدولة تضع القطاع السياحي على رأس أولوياتها مستعرضا القرارات والإجراءات والإعفاءات والتحفيزات التي منحتها الدولة لدعم القطاع السياحي والعاملين به خلال أزمة جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد، كما أشار الي قرار مجلس إدارة المجلس الأعلى للآثار بمد الإعفاء التام لمستأجري البازارات والكافيتريات بالمتاحف والمواقع الأثرية التابعة للمجلس الأعلى للآثار من دفع القيمة الايجارية حتى شهر أبريل 2021 ليكون بذلك استمر هذا الاعفاء لمدة ما يقرب من عام، حيث بدأ هذا الاعفاء من يونيو 2020.
وخلال الاجتماع استمع الوزير لمقترحات المستثمرين لدعم السياحة الثقافية وتنشيط السياحة الداخلية كما تم مناقشة آلية زيادة الدعاية للسياحة الثقافية حيث طالب المستثمرون برفع كفاءة بعض الطرق بين الاقصر والبحر الأحمر وفتح طرق جديدة مما سيساهم في تقليل ساعات السفر مما سيشجع السائحين علي القيام برحلة اليوم الواحد بين المحافظتين، كما طالبوا بتنظيم مهرجانات ومؤتمرات وبورصات سياحية أكثر بمحافظة الأقصر مما سيساهم في تحقيق الدعاية بشكل أكبر للسياحة الثقافية بمحافظات الصعيد.
وفيما يتعلق بتأكيد المستثمرين علي أهمية رفع الوعي السياحي والأثري لدى طلاب المدارس وتعريفهم بالحضارة المصرية العريقة، أشار الدكتور خالد العناني الي تعاون الوزارة مع وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني لزيادة الوعي السياحي والأثري وتعزيز أخلاقيات السياحة بين طلاب المدارس وكافة شرائح المجتمع المصري للإلمام بمدى أهمية قطاع السياحة ودوره فى دعم الاقتصاد القومي.
وأضاف أن الوزارة تعمل على تنشيط حركة السياحة الداخلية من خلال تنظيم رحلات لطلاب المدارس للمحافظات السياحية المختلفة، بالإضافة إلى إقامة أنشطة سياحية وأثرية وبرامج توعوية لرفع الوعى السياحي والأثري لدى كافة فئات المجتمع من الشباب، وكبار السن، وطلاب المدارس والجامعات، وذوى الاحتياجات الخاصة، بالإضافة إلى أن الوزارة لديها العديد من البرامج والأنشطة التوعوية المختلفة مثل “برنامج سفير السياحة” و ” برنامج اعرف بلدك” والتي تساهم في نشر التوعية السياحية والأثرية بين طلاب المدارس.
كما أشادوا بقرار الوزير بفتح المتاحف والمواقع الأثرية المفتوحة للزيارة في الأقصر اليوم السبت وغدًا الأحد للتصوير مجانا لوسائل الإعلام المحلية والدولية، مؤكدين على أنه سيساهم في الترويج للسياحة الثقافية محليا ودوليا.
وأشادوا أيضا بقرار وزارتي السياحة والآثار والطيران المدنى بمد العمل بمبادرة دعم السياحة الداخلية في مصر حتي ١٥ مايو القادم والذي سيساهم في تنشيط السياحة الداخلية ودعم العاملين بالقطاع السياحي، وذلك وفقاً لتوجيهات دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء.
Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, concluded his visit to the cities of Luxor and Sohag, which began last Thursday, by holding a meeting with tourism investors in Luxor to discuss the mechanisms of supporting cultural tourism and revitalizing the internal tourism movement. He also listened to their demands and suggestions to support the tourism sector.
Dr. Khaled El Enany began the meeting by stressing that the state places the tourism sector at the top of its priorities, reviewing the decisions, procedures, exemptions and incentives granted by the state to support the tourism sector and its workers during the pandemic, and also referred to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities to extend the complete exemption to renters of bazaars and cafeterias In the museums and archaeological sites of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, from paying the rental value until April 2021, so that this exemption continued for nearly a year, as this exemption started from June 2020.
During the meeting, the minister listened to investors ’proposals to support cultural tourism and stimulate domestic tourism. The mechanism for increasing publicity for cultural tourism was also discussed. Investors demanded to raise the efficiency of some roads between Luxor and the Red Sea and to open new roads, which would contribute to reducing travel hours, which would encourage tourists to make one-day trips between the two cities. They also called for organizing more tourist festivals, conferences and exhibitions in Luxor, which would contribute to achieving greater publicity for cultural tourism in Upper Egypt cities.
With regard to the investors ’emphasis on the importance of raising tourism and archaeological awareness among school students and introducing them to the ancient Egyptian civilization, Dr. Khaled El Enany referred to the ministry’s cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to increase tourism and archaeological awareness and enhance the ethics of tourism among school students and all segments of the Egyptian society to understand the importance of the tourism sector and its role in supporting the national economy.
He added that the ministry is working to stimulate the internal tourism movement by organizing trips for school students to the various tourist cities, in addition to establishing tourism and archaeological activities and awareness programs to raise tourism and archaeological awareness among all segments of society, including young people, the elderly, school and university students, and people with special needs. The Ministry has many different awareness programs and activities such as the “Tourism Ambassador Program” and “Know Your Country” program, which contribute to spreading tourism and archaeological awareness among school students.
They also praised the minister’s decision to open museums and archaeological sites for visits in Luxor today, Saturday and Sunday, for free photography for local and international media, stressing that it will contribute to promoting cultural tourism locally and internationally.
They also praised the decision of the Ministries of Tourism, Antiquities and Civil Aviation to extend the initiative to support domestic tourism in Egypt until May 15, which will contribute to revitalizing domestic tourism and supporting workers in the tourism sector, in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister.
